1. Composition of flowmeter
The flowmeter is mainly composed of five parts, which work together to achieve accurate measurement. 1. As the core of a flowmeter, sensors directly contact the fluid and convert flow information into physical signals. For example, an electromagnetic flowmeter is based on electromagnetic induction to measure the induced electromotive force and calculate the flow rate. The turbine flowmeter drives the turbine to rotate through fluid, reflecting the flow rate based on the rotational speed. two The converter is responsible for converting the sensor signal into a standard electrical signal (such as 4-20mA current or pulse signal or sparrow), and amplifying, filtering, and linearizing it to improve measurement stability and precision. The display unit intuitively displays instantaneous flow rate, cumulative data, temperature, pressure and other parameters. Some models support remote transmission for centralized monitoring and analysis of data. 4. The signal transmission system is connected to converters and display/control devices, and can be wired (cable) or wireless (Bluetooth, Wi Fi, GPRS) to meet different scene requirements. 5. The outer shell and accessories protect the internal components from environmental erosion; Attachments such as flanges, sealing gaskets, filters, etc. ensure stable installation and smooth operation, avoiding impurities from interfering with measurements.
2. What do FT and FE mean? On the drawing, FT is connected to FI, where FT is the transmitter and FI is the flow display. We know that a simple control circuit includes four parts: control object, sensing and transmission unit, controller, and actuator. In fact, sensing and transmission have two fun
ctions - sensing and transmission. And FT is the so-called sensing and transmission unit, in fact, there is FE, for example, the representation of orifice flow meters must have FE, because it is customary for orifice plates and differential pressure transmitters to be installed separately (of course, there are now integrated products), and when represented on PID diagrams, they are also separated. Two vertical lines are inserted into the pipeline to represent the orifice plate, and an instrument bubble is led out of the orifice plate, labeled FE, and another instrument bubble is "input", labeled FT. FE is the sensor (orifice plate), and the sensor output is FT (differential pressure transmitter), so FE and FT form the functional block of "sensing" and "transmission". And when FT comes out to FI, it is the display table (if it is a DCS system, then it is...). The virtual display instrument in the computer, if it is a control circuit, it is the controller (FIC) - the display circuit does not have a controller. However, it should be noted that for integrated online flow meters such as vortex street flow meters, FE is omitted and only FT is used. When shown in the diagram, an instrument bubble is inserted into the pipeline and marked with FT inside. 3. Automatic control identification symbols for flow meters

The automatic control identification symbols for flow meters mainly follow national standards and P&ID graphic specifications, with the core identifier being the letter "F" combined with functional suffixes.
. 1. National Standard Symbol Specification (GB/T 2625-2010) Flow meters start with the letter "F" in the instrument tag number, and use suffix letters to indicate specific functions: • FI: flow ind
